Honeymoon Planning Tips
A couple of the most popular places to go this year are St. Lucia and
Belize. But many people are choosing to take their honeymoon in places
such as Bali and Thailand, even after the tsunami.
More couples are choosing destination weddings in places like Amsterdam
and London, because not only is their wedding somewhere different, but
they are getting to start their honeymoon quicker, too.
Couples on a budget can still have a wonderful honeymoon vacation.
First, they want to make sure that the activities offered wherever they
are planning to stay are covered in the cost. Find out first what is offered
before booking your trip. Also, if you're a couple who isn't into all
the bells and whistles (such as water sports), check out other hotels
or resorts in the area. There are many other resorts and hotels that you
can find at a less expensive price.
But the main thing is to make sure wherever you stay or go offers you
the activities you care about. If you want a spa, don't stay somewhere
that doesn't have one.
What you really want to do is to plan a honeymoon that fits your personalities.
That is the most important thing. If you're deathly afraid of sharks,
I wouldn't suggest going to the beach. If you're into baseball, try somewhere
like Cooperstown, NY and the Baseball Hall of Fame, for example.
With a destination wedding, you can spend more time in the place where
you want to honeymoon. Some places offer wedding packages too that include
photographers, the catering and other details. But you have to remember
that you can't expect your entire family to just pack up and go with you.
A destination wedding doesn't allow for many people to attend your wedding.
However, if that is what you want, then don't worry about it.
The great thing about taking a cruise is that you get to see different
ports. You can visit different places in days. The best part is that there
is a cruise for every person and every budget. Ships these days are offering
so many different activities that it is easy to find something for you
to enjoy. You can go virtually anywhere in the world. You want a cruise
to the Caribbean, you got it. You want a cruise to the Mediterranean?
You got it.
Before you leave on your honeymoon vacation, make sure you do a Department
of State check to see if there is anything going on in that country. You
don't want to visit a place if there is a civil war going on, right? Also,
make sure you pick a country or an island that offers you something you
are interested in. And most importantly, don't forget your passport or
birth certificate.
